Farmhouse Pet Treats – Production assistant (Yass) 

We’re growing, and as we start to add more retail stores and markets, we’re looking for a casual production assistant (approx 4-6 hours per week) at our production facilities on a farm just outside Yass (5 minutes from IGA).

Main duties include:

  • Bag products
    • sanitise work area at start of shift
    • stamp and label bags
    • weigh/count products into bags
    • seal bags
    • apply date stamp
    • record batch details
    • report bulk levels
    • clean work area at end of shift

Additional duties may include:

  • Restock market tubs
  • Track bulk stock levels
  • Possibility to attend markets from time to time
  • If you’re up for it, occasional tiktoks too.

You’d be able to work mostly unsupervised, be responsible for the quality of your work, and show initiative. Retail and/or food handling experience is preferred.

We pay above award rates plus superannuation.

Farmhouse Pet Treats – Market assistant (for Canberra markets)

We attend the:

  • Capital Region Farmers Markets each Saturday morning at Exhibition Park in Canberra from 7:30am to 12noon
  • Other seasonal or specialty markets from time to time if available.

Duties include:

  • Attend markets as rostered
  • Assist with setup and/or pack up of the market stall
  • Make sales, handle cash, use Square POS terminal
  • Provide advice to customers
  • Restock shelves; ensure display is full and appealing
  • If you’re up for it, occasional tiktoks too!

We pay above award rates plus superannuation.

Email writer to create an engaging newsletters

Ability to create an engaging monthly newsletter for our ecommerce clients to announce new products, product features and information, etc. with Clear CTAs and attention-grabbing subject lines.

The emails should nurture, engage, and convert subscribers into making additional purchases. I want to build long-term trust and brand love through monthly email newsletter engagement, eventually increasing to fortnightly.

I’m after clear emails that convey our ethic of highest-quality, Australian Made, pet treats with a focus on novel protein and single ingredient.

We use the Brevo platform, and you should be comfortable using that to create campaigns.

You must be creative, reliable, and have proven results in email marketing. Please provide samples or a portfolio of past work

Writer – history articles

I’m looking for a writer for short articles about Australian history.

  • plain, conversational English, aiming for 1200 words, although 600-1800 is ok.
  • must be your own work, AI is not to be used
  • may pitch own ideas in shortform prior to commissioning
  • assist with collaborative research of topics (text/image/video)
  • cite sources

The articles may be further edited to be used as a video script. Ongoing project needing one article per week, may engage several writers.
